Kinumpirma ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na inilagay na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang buong Luzon sa “enhanced community quarantine.”
Sinabi ni Sec. Panelo, ginawa ni Pangulong Duterte ang anunsyo sa meeting ng Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
Ayon kay Sec. Panelo, may gagawing public address si Pangulong Duterte kaugnay sa detalye ng deklarasyon.
“It means we will have to stay at home. Work will be suspended. There is suspension of work…The general rule is there is suspension of work. In terms of government employ, there will be skeletal force. When you say there is quarantine in your homes, it means you don’t need to travel. You don’t need transportation for that except only for medical and humanitarian reasons. They will be allowed to go home,” ani Sec. Panelo.
“Provision for food and essential services shall be regulated – the respective LGUs will have to create a system where food and essential needs will be delivered to the homes of the communities. In other words, we will not allow a rush to getting food and supplies because there will be sufficient food and supply. This is effective immediately.
We have this community quarantine 2 days ago, we are just expanding it.”
