WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has been called out for a modified boxing match with former MMA champion Vitor Belfort.

Not so long ago, Fury expressed his interest to try Mixed Martial Arts or the MMA after his stint with boxing, however, some opposed to what he’s trying to do including Belfort who said that it would be “too much” and “unfair.”

Therefore, the former UFC light heavyweight champ came up with the idea of modified boxing.

“Tyson Fury is a great champion, but I would love to box him in a rules that benefit an athlete from MMA.”

“I would love to test myself against this great world champion. And I love his personality, his approach, he’s a simple and down to earth guy.

“I would love to test my skills with him but in rules where I can grapple in the clinch, I can do standing punching, so I can even the ground a little so we can entertain fans on a level that has never been done before,” Belfort stated.
