Humingi ng paumanhin ang Department of Interior ang Local Government (DILG) sa House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability sa hindi pagdalo sa pagdinig hinggil sa sitwasyon ng mga locally stranded individuals kahapon, Hulyo 30.
Sa isang statment, sinabi ni DILG spokesman Usec. Jonathan Malacaya na hindi nila sinadyang hindi dumalo sa naturang pagdinig.
Nagkaroon lamang aniya ng miscommunication dahil naka-locdown simula noong Lunes ang DILG-Naplocom Center.
“The lapses in our legislative liaison system has since been resolved and we are prepared to address any concerns that the committee may have on the matter of locally stranded individuals which the DILG and other government agencies under the umbrella of NTF COVID-19 have been addressing since the start of the global pandemic,” ani Malaya.
Sa pagdinig kahapon, binatikos ng ilang kongresista ang kabiguan ng DILG na magpadala ng kinatawan.
Ayon kay House good government panel vice chairman Mike Defensor insulto hindi lamang sa komite kundi maging sa buong Kongreso ang hindi pagdalo ng DILG sa kanilang pagdinig.
