The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported a peaceful and joyful Christmas Eve nationwide.
Acting Chief Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said no incidents were recorded during church services, and thanks to public discipline and a strong police presence.
Police were deployed to churches, transportation hubs, and key public areas to ensure safety.
Monitoring began on December 16 for Simbang Gabi and continues through the holiday season, including New Year celebrations.
Nartatez commended the cooperation of churches, local governments, volunteers, and citizens, urging everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly.
