Pinasalamatan ni Health Sec. Francisco Duque ang mga frontliner mula sa Philippine Navy na nagsundo ng higit 23,000 box ng personal protective equipment sa Xiamen, China.

“Commander Rogelio Lachica and the brave sailors of the BRP Bacolod City, Philippine Navy deserve praise and gratitude for undertaking this mission during difficult times. Those PPEs are
essential to protecting our heroic health frontliners from COVID-19,” ani Sec. Duque sa isang statement.

Nananatili naman daw na prayoridad ng Department of Health (DOH) at pamahalaan ang kaligtasan ng mga frontliners kahit nasa gitna sila ng laban kontra COVID-19.

Una nang inanunsyo ng DOH ang partnership nila sa Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines at Department of Trade and Industry na gagawa ng dagdag na 300,000 PPE kada buwan.

“We are committed to providing all Filipino doctors, nurses, and other healthcare heroes with adequate supplies of PPEs despite the global shortage brought about by the global pandemic.”

Nagpaabot din pasasalamat ang kalihim sa mga pribadong organisasyon na naging katuwang ng pamahalaan sa pagpapaabot tulong nang magkaubusan ng PPE supply.

“The generous number of PPEs created and delivered by good samaritans to hospitals across the Philippines is a moving testament to the bayanihan spirit of our people,” ani Sec. Duque.
