As we have predicted at Bombo Radyo and Star FM, the Boston Celtics steam-rolled the Donovan Mitchell less Cleveland Cavaliers and awaits whoever will survive the other Eastern Conference semi-finals between New York and Indiana which the Knicks lead 3 – 2.

Jayson Tatum has 30 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and he was ably assisted by the ageless Al Horford who chipped in 25 points and 15 rebounds to send the top-seeded Celtics to its third consecutive Eastern Conference Finals appearance and its sixth for the last eight years.

In the Western Conference series of the Oklahoma Thunders versus the Dallas Mavericks in Oklahoma, Shai Gilgeous Alexanders’ 30 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals were not backed up by his teammates who continued to be inefficient in their offensive game.

It took the injured Luka Doncic’s triple double of 31 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to boost the performance of his team mates to silence to raucous Thunder crowd. Dallas made 40% of 35 attempted three-point shots. The star performed well and role players of the team elevated their games to a higher level.

With everything going for them, Dallas built a big lead that cushioned the rally made by the Thunder’s late in the game for their win.

The brilliant all-around performance of Doncic at this crucial juncture of the series paves the way for a possible Dallas closure of the series at their home-court.

The Thunder’s of course will hope for another game if they beat Dallas. They are hoping that they will be gifted with another chance and in the next game, the god-like performance of Luka Doncic will not be played out one more time, and he goes tumbling back to earth just like in Game 1 so that they will win.

They have to contain Luka Doncic then, but that will be a tall order. This is to wish them the best
