Beginnings:
Bombo Hermie “Boy” Legaspi entered the organization of Bombo Radyo Philippines last 1995 through DXES Bombo Radyo General Santos. As newscaster, he was proven his capability in covering a big events when the controversial” Lake Maughan” in South Cotabato was erupted that resulted to a tragedy.
When DXMC-Bombo Radyo Koronadal (formerly Marbel) was established in Koronadal City, South Cotabato last November 11, 1995, being an ilonggo tongue ,Bombo Hermie “Boy” from Bombo General Santos was transferred by the top management to Koronadal City to composed the pull of aggressive Bombo Personnel that mostly came from Western Visayas to face the new challenges in the South-Central Mindanao.
Radio History:
In Koronadal City, Bombo Hermie “Boy” was assigned as a anchorman of Bombo Reports 2nd edition. He also anchored all primetime and top rater programs of Bombo Radyo Philippines like: Bombohanay Bigtime, Bombohanay sa Udto and Zona Libre.
Being a journalist, hard work, optimism and persistence became his guiding principles in life. For him, the works of a true broadcast journalist is 24/7 and a true commitment. From newswriter, newscaster, reporter and he was designated as Chief of Anchors and later became Assistant Station Manager.
In 2004, he was designated as station manager of Bombo Radyo Koronadal. Bombo Hermie “Boy” Legaspi spent his whole life in the field of broadcast industry. Thus, for almost a decades now still he continue a showcasing a mark of excellence and a hardhitting Bombo Commentator in his daily program from 7:30AM-9:30AM, Monday to Saturday, the Bombohanay Bigtime.
Thus, he was faced a several libel cases, but mostly were dismissed by the court for lack of probable cause.
