Tiniyak ngayon ng Malacañang na sapat ang pondo at supply para sa mga sinalanta ng Tropical Depression Maring.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella, ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DWSD) ay may kabuuang 196,896 Family Food Packs (FFPs) ang nakahandang ipamahagi at P577.7 million standby funds sa DSWD Central Office, Field Offices at sa National Resource Operations Center (NROC).
Ayon kay Abella, nakapag-preposition na ang Department of Health (DoH) ng P20 million halaga ng logistics sa Regions II, III, IV-A at V at mayroong P50 million halaga ng logistics na naka-standby sa DoH Central Office.
Patuloy namang hinihikayat ng Malacañang ang publiko na manatiling ligtas at alerto sa Tropical Depression Maring na inaasahang lalabas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) mamayang gabi o bukas ng umaga.
“The national government, through our frontline disaster response agencies, remains on standby to respond and assist victims of Tropical Depression Maring in Regions I, II III, IV-A, V and NCR. As of September 13, 8am, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DWSD) reported that 2,103 families were affected. Of which, 1,857 families are staying at 116 evacuation centers. The DSWD has a total of 196,896 Family Food Packs (FFPs) on stock and P577.7 million standby funds at the DSWD Central Office, concerned Field Offices and National Resource Operations Center (NROC). The Department of Health (DOH) also prepositioned about P20 million of logistics in Regions II, III, IV-A and V and has an about P50 million of logistics present at the DOH Central Office. We ask everyone to stay dry, safe and alert regarding Tropical Depression Maring, which is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight or early tomorrow morning. We advise the public to get regular weather bulletin updates from the PAGASA and other official government websites or social media accounts,” ani Abella.
