Beginnings:
Bombo Henry Lumawag started his career at Bombo Radyo Roxas on June 1998 right after graduating from College. Bombo Radyo Philippines inspired him to take-up Bache-lor of Science in Mass Commu-nication major in Broadcasting at West Visayas State University - Lapaz, Iloilo City. Before his employment at Bombo Radyo Roxas, he served as volunteer reporter of Bombo Radyo Iloilo for the 1998 National and Presiden-tial elections. He started as a field reporter in Bombo Radyo Roxas before becoming a Newscaster and Anchorman. October 1999, he was tranferred to Bombo Newscenter in Makati City, where the head office of Bombo Radyo Philippines is located.
Radio History:
The assignment in Bombo Newscenter, moulded and developed him as a versatile Broadcaster. Bombo Henry has been a news-writer and reporter of all Bombo Radyo and Star FM stations Nation-wide particularly for Ilonggo speaking stations such as: Bombo Radyo Iloilo, Bombo Radyo Bacolod, Bombo Radyo Kalibo, Bombo Radyo Roxas and Bombo Radyo Koronadal in South Cotabato. The baptism of fire came in year 2000 when he was assigned to cover the historic press conference of former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis Chavit Singson at Club Filipino accusing former President Joseph Estrada as the 'lord of all gambling lords' which signaled the fall of Erap. During Estrada's Impeachment Trial, Bombo Henry was assigned to cover the prosecution team which was composed then of now Senator Joker Arroyo, Justice Sec Raul Gonzales, Presiden-tial Chief of Staff Sergio Apostol, former Ombudsman Simeon Marcelo and others. His tenure in Manila enable him to cover almost all beat areas like the Malacanang Palace, Supreme Court, Derpartment of Justice, Senate of the Philippines, Sandiganbayan, Camp Crame, etc. Year 2001 when he was assigned as beat reporter at the House of Representtaives in Quezon City until December 2005 because he was transferred and promoted as News Director of Bombo Radyo Iloilo on January 2006. A year later he was again promoted as Acting Assistant Station Manager and then Officer-In-Charge.

Bombo Henry has won the hearts and minds of many Ilonggos because of fearless and hard-hitting yet very fair commentaries. His objectivity in discussing news and issues differentiate him from other Broadcasters in the Region. That manner catches the admiration of the Million Bombo listerners in the Country and the whole World. Bombo Radyo Iloilo has a lot of followers anywhere in the Earth after the 24-hour global webcast was launched.
