Beginnings: Her love for music started it all. She believes her work has kept her sanity intact despite all the inanities life has thrown at her. Radio History: Jordan Gold's romance with radio started back in 1994 with DXFL - FM, a local radio station in Dipolog where she put into use what she learned as a MassCom student. For her, radio would just be a spring board for what she really wanted to do - write a copy or do a storyboard for a print or TV commercial. But she fell in love with radio and was hooked. By February 1998, she joined Star FM Dipolog as one of its pioneer production personnel. Forty-eight years later (meaning, perti na gyud kadugay!), she is still around. Claim to Fame: a) None. She is already famous (Jordan in the NBA and the Gold - go figure). b) did an interview with the Eraserheads during their concert in Dipolog and spent the afternoon with them prior to concert night and what remained of the evening after the concert; "It was like being in a toothbrush-sharing-team with them!" (ana ka-close!) c) declined to pose for Maxim's maiden issue (now you know why it went to Angelica Panganiban) for fear that the magazine might fold up after its first issue with her on the cover. d) predicted Roger Federer's (the object of her demented affection) wins at the 2007 French and U.S Opens. Codicil: Her publicist (having one reinforces the claim that she is famous) says you either treat and/or view this part as truth or fiction. Her program includes: It's All For You in the Morning: 9 - 11, Mondays to Saturdays (though no one knows she does astral travel or out of body experience and gets inside the body of the jock who sits for the Twilight Zone program so she can play rock and alternative songs - now you know.) |
