Star FM Davao

Beginnings: Nonoy, as he is fondly called, just came
out of the seminary when he encountered 96.3 Star FM
Davao. He started his radio career as Disc Jockey of
Star FM Cotabato in May 1999. As Star FM Cotabato's
Sgt. Scotch, he sits on the Pinoy Morning Na and IAFY
in the Evening programs. Few months after, he was
tasked to sit in the Morning Star Sweep, the station's
primetime program, and the Afternoon Star Sweep.
Aside from being a DJ, he also assist his station
manager in his responsibilities thus giving him free
education on how a radio station operates.

Radio History: His ascent to managerial position came
on May 2004 when their Area Manager noticed his
potentials. He was tasked to head the operations of
100.7Star FM General Santos after its then Station
Manager was transferred to Star FM Davao. Nonoy's
stay with Star FM General Santos however was short
lived as he was then transferred to Star FM Davao as its
Assistant Station Manager after just four months. On
March 2006, the need for re-assignment of Star FM
Southern Mindanao's station officers arise due to the
sudden of their Area Manager. The Station Manager of
Star FM Davao, Mr. Jhony Catig, was tasked to head
the operations of Star FM Zamboanga, leaving the
stewardship of Star FM Davao to Nonoy up to this date.

Claim to Fame: "TOTOY BATO" is loved by his avid
listeners because of his masculine yet very loving, warm
and friendly voice. He earned the listeners admiration
out of his manly yet romantic voice.

His programs today include: Be mesmerized by
TOTOY BATO's voice as he plays your favorite love
songs on IAFY in the Morning (9 to 11 am) then, enjoy
with him your favorite hits of today , mellow and fast, on
the Afternoon Star Sweep (3 to 5 pm) from Monday to
Saturday.
