Star FM Davao

Beginnings: After graduating from college, Gary tried
his luck and applied as a DJ of 96.3 Star FM Davao. His
services was acquired last January 2006. Gary was a
college basketball varsity. Gary started his radio career
as the DJ of Pinoy Morning Na and Twilight Zone
programs. After a while, he left the Twilight Zone
program and sat on the Afternoon Star Sweep, Star
FM's afternoon primetime program. This young guy from
Panabo City is so charismatic and friendly that he was
readily accepted by the loyal listeners of the station.

Radio History: Few more months after his acquisition,
Gary became the alternate DJ of the Morning Star
Sweep program, Star FM's primetime show. Endowed
with natural wit and humor, Gary is the station's main
man in the field together T'yo Paeng. This lad also helps
in producing locally produced jokes which the station
use on-air to add more humor to the station's Morning
Star Sweep and Star Musikainan programs.

Claim to Fame: "GORYO GWAPITO" earned the
admiration of Star FM Davao's loyal listeners because of
sweet and masculine voice. His natural humor and
friendliness, not just on-air but even on the area, also
earned him more friends and loyal listeners.

His programs today include: Listen to GORYO
GWAPITO, from Monday to Saturday, on his Star
Musikainan program (11 am to 1 pm) and the "DOS
POLGAS" duo every 4 to 6 am on the Pinoy Morning Na
program (in tandem with T'yo Paeng) where he acts as
Madam Goring, a talented old 'gay'. Catch him also
every 3 to 5 pm on Starrific Sunday Mix every Sunday.
