Beginnings: He started his Radio career in 1995 at a
local radio station in Cebu and never looked back. On
December 15, 2007 he later joined 90.3 Star FM
Cagayan De Oro City as a plain disc jockey and known
as " CJ Rain" (the generic name for pogi)..

Radio History: After his stint at 90.3 Star FM Cagayan
de Oro he was later assigned to numerous Star FM
Stations in Mindanao like Star FM Dipolog, Star FM
Tacloban, Star FM Zamboanga and presently, in 96.3
Star FM Davao, He is called "Bobby Barako" on the air "
ang dj na maginoo pero medyo barako".

Bobby Barako left 96.3 Star FM Davao for 1 year, last
2006 to test other waters, well at least it was laterally
meant for he was a Club disc jockey at a cruise ship
which gave him the opportunity to explore different
places in Europe and some parts of Asia. However, the
calling was just so overwhelming to be back home and
was just too irresistible, Bobby Barako came home to
96.3 Star FM Davao the place where he feels he belong.

"Bobby Barako have lasted 12 years in the profession
and have solid followings, an established taste and
attitude, and a regular stint on 96.3 Star FM Davao and
if you wish to be successful as he is you should make
your shows unique, exciting, and creative not to mention
the hours spent in the production room to improve your
skills in pursuing fame, better pay and may become an
officer between 3 to 7 years.

Claim to Fame: Bobby Barako's programs these days
include: Stardinas, can be heard from 6:00 am to 9:00
am on the morning shift from Monday's to Saturday's
and Mga Kasinatian sa Yesterdays from 1:00 PM to
3:00 PM Monday's to Saturday's. As a disc jockey he
plays music, reading letters, and occasionally chatting
with guests and callers.
