Star FM Cebu

Beginnings: He was in the seminary for four years and
was just one year shy to be ordained as a priest when
he chose different path (sinner's path?...nah!). He got a
degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering
in 1999, but never thought that one day, he will be
leaving this field also in favor for one that entertains
people.

Radio History: In 2002, he gave in to his first love -
music, and so started a career in radio. He became a
Disc Jockey at Yes FM Cebu and was even tasked to
run two Radyo Natin radio stations in Balamban and
Moalboal, Cebu Province before joining 95.5 Star FM
Cebu in 2003. At Star FM, he was given the radio name
Rocky Junior, after Star FM's top 20 countdown DJ,
Rocky G. But being a true-blooded BISDAK (Bisayang
Dako - matigas ang dila), he can't pronounce the word
Junior correctly. Thus, ROCKY BUHAWI was born.

Claim to Fame: "Kami and inyong Star Dinas
Gang…Star Dinas Gang…Star Dinas Gang…" With his
unique style of handling programs, he was made to
handle the very important morning program of 95.5 Star
FM Cebu that included the special segment, Star Dinas.
Together with the Star Dinas Gang, he calls, then
challenges people to do something weird and funny,
sets up unsuspecting victims, and many other
out-of-the-blue hilarious stuff.

His Programs include: Morning Starsweep: 6:00-9:00
AM with Star Dinas at 7:00-7:30 AM and 8:00 to 8:30
AM, from Mondays to Fridays
Never On Sunday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM every Sunday
